Weekly inspiration: Richard Branson’s love and joy of living!

From high school dropout to multi-billionaire, Richard Branson needs no introduction! Nowadays, he is making the news for launching a campaign to end the death penalty. He manages his own global empire of over 400 companies. He founded the Virgin Group – just to name a few of his accomplishments!

Few know, however, that Branson dropped out of school at 16 after struggling with dyslexia and not fitting into the traditional education system. His life story is impressive and we have a lot to learn from his failures and his success. And, although you might think it’s his billions that motivate us, we actually admire more his love and joy of living! Here are 3 of his quotes, to guide you on this Motivational Wednesday!

“Don’t be embarrassed by your failures. Learn from them and start all over again.”

In life, all of us have unique and varied experiences. Some of these experiences are good, while some are not pleasant. Some are success, and some are failures. We should consider all of these experiences to be something from which we can learn. Success gives us joy and confidence. Failures show us the reason why we failed and help us learn from the mistakes. Many times, we feel embarrassed about our failures. But, remember that people who learn from their mistakes and start afresh are the ones who reach their goals. Looking back, you will realize that your journey has been enriching because of the lessons you learned from your failures.

“As soon as something stops being fun, I think it’s time to move on. Life is too short to be unhappy. Waking up stressed and miserable is not a good way to live.”

It’s the sad reality of life that there are times when we just have to let go and move on. This is true not only in romantic partnerships, but also in work situations, living conditions, professional relationships, friendships etc.. Even investments and tangible possessions can be difficult to let go of, despite how destructive or demanding they might have become.

Your gut usually knows before your brain does, and it’s also generally more reliable. We can sense things with our instincts that our brains either don’t pick up on or refuse to see. So, if you have a sinking feeling in your gut, listen to it…and move on!

“My definition of success? The more you’re actively and practically engaged, the more successful you will feel.”

What gets you fired up? What are you passionate about? The more engaged you are in the work you love, the more successful you’ll feel and the more successful you may become. Love what you do for maximum success.

Remember that success keeps on coming back. If not today then tomorrow. Meanwhile you keep going. It may seem easy to look at other entrepreneurs and assume their success came overnight – yet rarely is that the case. By the time these “overnight successes” come to your attention, they’ve usually put in years or even decades of long, hard work. Don’t quit!

We hope Branson’s energy was just as contagious to you, as it is for us!  If we’ve opened your appetite for growth and you wish to continue your selfdiscovery process, we’ve put together some fresh & crisp FREE HACKS to help you embark on your transformation journey!
