Choosing a NU WAY for Herself
The Beginning
“I don’t want to work like this anymore.”
By 2014, years of corporate responsibility had taken their toll. Long hours, constant pressure, and the sense of always being available left little room for life beyond work. The desire for more freedom, independence, and time became impossible to ignore.
During this time, Melanie led global transformation teams within an international pharma company — translating manual processes into digital systems and guiding entire departments through complex change initiatives.
The Transition
There had to be another way.
Melanie changed industries and stepped into full-time digital business transformation consulting, working with a global mobile network builder. Alongside this, she began investing in real estate and completed a two-year systemic business coach training, working with coaching clients to refine her skills. Exploration, learning, and building became central — yet despite the progress, something still felt misaligned.
The work was meaningful, but the structure was not yet sustainable.
First Business Experiments
Freedom needed structure.
Alongside her global, full-time consulting work, Melanie explored additional ventures: interior design projects, career and business coaching, and lecturing on change management. These years brought growth, creativity, and insight — but also a clear realization: flexibility without structure still leads back to time-for-money.
The Leap
Becoming a Business Owner
Melanie left her corporate job and founded iMellan GmbH and built MY NU WAYS — a platform for digital programs, structured change work, and automation. For the first time, expertise was deliberately translated into digital formats.
The business worked — but it also revealed a familiar pattern: constant presence, manual delivery, and growing demands on time and energy.
The Reality Check
Freedom shouldn't feel like burn-out
Despite leaving corporate life behind, the workload had quietly returned. High-touch 1:1 services, constant social media content, and live group delivery once again tied income to presence.
Burnout became the signal to stop and reassess — not the work itself, but the structure behind it.

MY NU WAYS evolved into what it is today: a lean, decision-first digital business built around clarity, structure, and deliberate systems. Expertise is carried through digital products, automation, and AI-supported workflows — without constant supervision or presence.
