Summarizing your beliefs and purpose in life can be a process in itself. But its worth it and once you have a good  idea of  your calling (or your personal True North) you then break your desires down into attainable, measurable goals.

Having a True North to follow makes navigating the Storms of Life easier.

Your True North is your internal compass and a combination of your beliefs and your purpose. Just as a compass points at a fixed point on the globe, your personal true north pulls you forward and gives you direction so you can achieve your goals. It guides you on your path to your destination and helps you stay on track – or to get back on track. Moreover it helps you to make better choices in any circumstances you face so you can become the authentic person you want to be and achieve your goals  – with clarity and self awareness.

You need to have goals that you truly desire to achieve!

This fuels your motivation to put all the efforts, time and work in to reach your goals. Otherwise it is easy enough to put off work until tomorrow when there is no destination attractive enough.

For example, let’s consider the life of an athlete. If they have to get in shape for say the next world championship, you better believe they are going to be working out each and every day, whether they feel good or not, whether they are sore or not, whether they are tired or not, whether they want to or not, because they have a desirable goal.

6. Goals Help You To Beat Procrastination

Procrastination is something we all battle from time-to-time. However, when you set time-boxed specific goals for what you want to achieve, it helps you understand that procrastination is wasted time. It is another day you aren’t moving closer to that goal – and you never know what tomorrow brings.

7. Goal Setting Is Important To Help You To Go Beyond And Above
